Formulation Chemist - Technical Manager Permanent Aberdeen £40,000 We are working with an established company in Aberdeen who are involved in a range of product areas including marine, catering, hygiene, transport and industrial chemicals. Their business is involved in high performing chemical products of which hundredsof varieties are produced for their clients on site. They are seeking a Technical Manager who will be operating principally in formulations.What you’ll do: The role will see you involved in formulation and reformulation activities within their portfolio. You will be working to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, the markets that they serve call for a range of chemistries which can be in lubricants, cleaning, corrosionprevention, metal treatments, scale removal, fuel and water additives.You will be working in the laboratory on these products, assessing and updating formulas, making prototypes for testing, experimenting with new combinations of ingredients, and working with colleagues on new product opportunities. You will be maintainingthe supply chain of these chemicals for clients so that orders are delivered in a timely manner to them.You will be responsible for COSHH assessments, client updates, and the laboratory is typically a busy place providing chemicals to a diverse range of clients and maintaining good stocks for the companies storage for future orders.Your background: We are seeking a candidate who is a graduate in chemistry or higher and has experience in formulation chemistry.
