Job Description

Flow Waterjet Technician / CNC MachinistLocation: Aberdeen, AB21 0GSSalary: Please note this is a Nightshift Role but you will start training on Dayshift at a rate of £18.34 and once training is completed, will move to nightshift at a rate of £20.34Contract: Full time, PermanentBenefits: Company pension, Cycle to work scheme, Enhanced maternity leave, Enhanced paternity leave, On-site parking, Private medical insuranceWe are Denholm Engineering, offering complete turnkey solutions to our entire customer base. We have over thirty-five years’ experience working on in-house fabrication, machining, blast cleaning and industrial coating.We have incredibly highly skilled and long-standing workforce who are experience in the manufacture of our specialist fabricated and machined components and equipment for the energy sector.Our people are the key to our success and we will continually invest in training and development to ensure that all of our people are given the best possible chance of success.We are now recruiting for a Flow Waterjet Technician to detail, waterjet profile cut and machine items to specification using programme operated machines specified below.In addition to this as our Flow Waterjet Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Comply with all the organisations HSEQ policy and procedure requirements - including Risk Assessments, PPE Instructions and other Safe Working Instructions.
  • Conduct pre-use visual checks on machines prior to commencing work.
  • Check condition of cables of equipment prior to commencing work activities.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area before, during and after completing work.
  • Examine own work, checking for defects to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications
  • Record work activity on Job Cards &, Production Reports (and any other documentation as and when instructed).
  • Production/manufacturing operations
  • Manufacture of components utilising manually operated: REL3478 Flow Waterjet MATCH 500 M.S, REL3540 CNC Mazak FH 880, REL3171 CNC Lathe, XYZ- REL3173 CNC Mill - SMX 5000, REL3155 Sterling Band Saw, REL3176 Drill - Walker, REL3177 Pedestal Grind Wheel -AJH
In order to be successful in this role you must have experience and knowledge of:
  • DEL HSEQ policy and procedure requirements
  • Mazatrol M-Plus - Mazak Mazatech FH-880
  • Proto Trak SMAX - Mill
  • Proto Trak SLX - Lathe
  • Flow - Waterjet
  • Machine manufacturing processes - inputs/outputs
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety law
  • Working appreciation and awareness of ISO9001 Quality Management standard.
  • The ability to work in both Metric & Imperial units.
  • An understanding of drawings / technical data
