Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer (Hydraulics / Lifting)£45,000 - £55,000 + Chartership Support + Excellent Pension + Bonus + Flexi Time + Pay and Role Progression + Company BenefitsAberdeenAre you an Electrical Design Engineer or do you have a background in new concept electrical design, looking for a varied and hands-on role within an Oil and Gas Engineering Consultancy which supply tailored lifting solutions, equipment and personnel packagesfor global energy sectorsAre you looking to become immersed as an integral part of the Design team, where you will be responsible for the design of new electrical systems for the business as well as the customer, alongside implementing electrical upgrades on a range of equipment.On offer is the opportunity to work on projects for a plethora of different applications, supporting and managing lifecycles, within a rapidly growing, established business that provide excellent progression opportunities alongside an attractive benefitspackage with the opportunity to gain chartership through company support.This is a rare and exciting opening, where you will be responsible for new design of electrical systems of client and company equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical principles and CAD software.The Role:

  • Design and implement electrical upgrades to client specification
  • Document specifications, schematics and diagrams throughout the design process
  • Communicate with the Design team displaying analytical and problem solving skills
  • Manage the electrical sub-contractors and scope of works
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Develop and design new electrical systems
The Person:
  • HNC / HND in Electrical / Electronic discipline OR Similar
  • Experience in CAD software
