Job Description

In this newly created role, as Quality Manager you will look after a small team, promoting Food Safety and a Quality Culture. Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, your role will support Business and Continuous Improvement objectives and promote GMP.Client DetailsThe client is rapidly growing Food Manufacturer who have gone from strength to strength in recent years. With new products continuously being released and a growing market share. They can offer a personal development and wider business opportunities.DescriptionAs the Quality Manager, your key areas of focus will be:

  • Promote a Food Safety/Quality Culture ensuring quality standards are always met with products manufactured to correct specification
  • Manage day to day activities of QA team including training and development
  • Manage Factory Product Specificationsensuring accurate upto date QAS are available and in use
  • Manage organisation and delivery of sites CCP training and other business critical Technical procedures
  • Manage site environmental, product and raw material testing plans
  • Provide analysis and ensure communication of Technical KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure corrective and preventative actions are put in place as a result of food safety or quality failures.
  • Co-ordinate and manage product traceability challenges
  • Manage sites GMP and fabrication audits ensuring actions are correctly distributed and closed off in a timely manner
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing quality improvement projects within the factory.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance to specification and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Be an active member of the sites HACCP team
  • Support Technical team in delivering business objectives and deputising for the Site Technical Manager when required
  • ProfileAs the successful Quality Manager, you will ideally have the following experience:
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role at Management level.
  • Food related degree or equivilant.
  • Level 3 in both food safety and HACCP
  • Previous exposure to BRC and major retailer standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Pro-activeand Customer focused with a structured approach to workload
