Job Description

Jobs: Mechanical Building Services Engineer Location: South Wales - RCTSector: Local Authority Length: Temporary role - rolling contract (6-12 months) Rates: Negotiable Start Date: ASAP - within 1 month Main Responsibilities: Working within a multi discipline team of property professionals

  • Responsible for Council owned and operated buildings - Schools, offices, Leisure Centres, Homes for the Elderly, Community Centres, Day Centre, Parks Pavilions/Changing Rooms, Depots and Industrial Units.
  • Day to Day Reactive Maintenance and repairs
  • Statutory maintenance/servicing of plant and equipment
  • Condition surveys/reports of buildings - Mechanical elements
  • Small works design/specification/tendering - Boiler plant replacement, input to multidiscipline projects using standard forms of contract
  • Contract management of site works
Job Requirements:
  • A/Cad ability would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of project management requirements
  • ICT literate
  • Qualified to HNC or equivalent
  • Hold a full driving licence and able to travel to Council sites in own vehicle.
Additional Information:
  • Working 37hrs per week and based at the office in Abercynon
  • Mileage paid at 35pence per mile for base of operation.
