Job Description

The Finance Business Partner will support the company by providing financial and manufacturing insight, analysis, and operational and financial control. They will develop the success of existing businesses in the UK and Europe, interacting with key stakeholders.They will also lead manufacturing FP&A activity with a focus on accurate reporting, manufacturing standards, and costings for new products and contracts across the business.Client DetailsMy client is a company that specialises in engineering plastics, both in manufacturing and in the machining of plastic materials. The company has rapidly increasing demand, leading to the growth of several branches at strategic locations across the UK.Description

  • Ownership of the Cost Rate Model for EMP and ensure control of cost and pricing rates within the ERP system
  • Weekly KPI reporting including financial and non-financial KPIs and operational performance compared to standard and providing key messages and action areas to business leaders
  • Monthly standard cost P&L account for EMP with key variances to standard reconciled to the monthly financial P&L
  • Support and challenge all investment decisions using a range of financial tools
  • Support data driven decision making and ad-hoc information requests and queries with data, utilising database tools and MS Excel to provide clear and insightful analysis
  • Support the month-end financial processes as required, particularly where issues in the business need technical resolution to support accurate and timely financial information
  • Lead and drive financial performance and strategy for the company as a key player in driving the success of the company.
Profile
  • Desirable, 2 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Recognised Accountancy Qualification (ACCA/CIMA preferred)
  • Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skill set, proficiency in SQL and Business Information (BI)
  • Strong financial, IT, and analytical skills with an operational focus
  • Ability to interact with all levels from shop floor to board and influence senior managers
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, willingness to make decisions, team player with a flexible approach, and willingness to work additional hours as needed.
