Job Title: Facilities & Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Nantgarw, CardiffSalary: £24,000 + 15% Shift allowance + bonus + substantial benefitsHours: 06:00 - 17:00 (Working 4 x 11 hr shifts - rolling week)First 6 months: Mon - Fri 8:30-16.30Do you want to be part of a long-established, successful company Due to expansion of our state-of-the-art enzyme manufacturing facility, we have an opportunity for a Facilities & Maintenance Technician who will have a vital support role within our highlymotivated Operations Team.About the Company: Biocatalysts develop and manufacture speciality enzymes from small to large scale quantities for a variety of industries such as food, flavor, fragrance, life science, pharma and fine chemicals. We are the only company offering a rapid, low-cost specialityenzyme service from discovery phase through to global shipment of regulatory compliant enzymes.About the role:Working within our close-knit maintenance team, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently completed their engineering apprenticeship and is looking to develop their skills and knowledge within a specialist manufacturing operation.In your role, you will be responsible for providing all-round support to the Maintenance Team - helping to maintain and repair the sites equipment, building, office facilities and grounds.About you:To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible, practical, hands-on; as well as being focused on detail, quality, safety, and reliability.BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or completion of an Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering is essential.You will need at least 2 years experience of working within a maintenance role, including using general workshop equipment. This will have preferably been within a manufacturing setting.
