RM Recruit are working with a small but growing charity to recruit a Finance Director for their team. This is a newly created post and the first time the charity have looked to hire a Director level accountant for their Senior Management team.Reporting directly into the CEO, you will lead and drive a small Finance team in delivering a high performing finance function which adds value to the organisation as a whole. You will present robust and timely monthly management accounts whilst delivering financial and statutory reporting to ensure a clean year-end audit. There will be focus on the analysis and profitability of existing contracts alongside the tendering for future financially viable contracts and grant funding opportunities. Contingency planning and risk analysis will also be prominent as you mould the role to the organisational requirements. Development of the as 3 year financial forecasting process and the diversifying of income streams to safeguard future operations will also be a key feature of this exciting opportunity.The successful candidate must be a fully qualified accountant with leadership experience, preferably in a Charity or Not for Profit environment. You will be confident of liaison with CEO and Trustee stakeholders and managing a long-standing finance team to support the delivery of the charity services support ambitions for sustainable future growth. Procurement, digital transformation and commercial operations will also form part of the remit of the role.
