REED Recruitment are working with a fantastic Client, based in Yatton, North Somerset. Recruiting for a Stock Controller on a full time, permanent basis.You will be office based within this role, and NOT warehouse/goods in.Looking for: Strong manufacturing background, previous inventory /material planning experience is essential and strong analysing skills.This is a very fast and demanding environment, standard stock controlling duties, supplier relationship, forecasting.This role would be reporting direct to the Purchasing Manager. Responsible for managing circa 2000 stock lines to ensure product availability to the required service level of 98%. Buying from 50 global, UK Sub Contract and in-house Suppliers. Along withthe successful introduction of new products for three warehouses.Duties: Responsible for the management of correct stock levels Accurate forecasting, ensuring stock files reflect reorder levels based on capacity and supplier lead times Raise Purchase orders, analysing demand and production requirements and scheduled deliveries Management of open orders/progressing and prioritising deliveries Run low stock reports to avoid backordering Run demand exception reports reviewing forecasts Back order reporting, reason and action plan Investigate stock discrepancies Investigate and resolve invoice queries Introduction of new products Manage returns to supplier React effectively to sales fluctuations and supply problems in order to minimise out of stock linesRequirements: Good communication/IT and organisational skills Strong Analytical skills Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to deadlines Driven, self-motivated with good time management and a focus towards continuous improvement Can work under own initiative and as part of a team Willingness to embrace change and adapt with growth Ability to plan ahead, anticipate/overcome problems and make decisions Strong relationship with Suppliers Source of knowledge for Purchasing and Sales Team Source of knowledge for IT regarding set ups and processes Adaptable to ever changing successful company Can cover all positions Self DrivenThis role is perfect for Candidates based in the following areas:Weston-super-Mare, Portishead, Clevedon, Nailsea, Cheddar and surrounding areas.Ideally you will be a driver due to the location, unless you live close by, but there is free-parking onsite or a train station a short walk away.
