Senior Electrical EngineerBristol, South West England£45,000 to £55,000, negotiable salary depending upon relevant experienceDiscretionary company-wide bonus after qualifying period, Private health care, Death in service, Generous pensionJob Reference: J105133Working for a leading Renewable Energy business based in Bristol, you will be working on prestigious high value high voltage electricity network projects, reviewing and engineering for contestable connection projects. You will also work on grid connection projectsat 132kV and 33kV for Substation, Battery Storage, Wind and Solar Farm connections.Your responsibilities will include:*Technical review of projects*Conceptual and detailed design for grid and private network projects.*Equipment specification for switchgear and transformers including CT and VT sizing studies*DC Cable Sizing and Specification*Battery charger sizing studies*Multicore and multicore termination schedules*Cable sizing and cable route design*Small power and lighting design*Supporting substation layout design alongside the Primary Engineering team*Project Manage design subcontracts*Tendering and procurement*Ensuring works are designed to recognised guidelines and standards*Ensure correct Health & Safety guidelines are adhered toYour skillset will include*Significant experience in a high voltage contracting or consulting environment*Highly proficient in IT, numeracy and written communications*Working with DNOs, National Grid, IDNOs or ICPs*Full appreciation of standards such as IEEE, IEC, BSEN & CENELEC*AutoCAD experience*Managing Drawing registers*Project Engineering and/or Project Management*The application of design principles to substation and power systems design*Excellent team player*Full driving licence*Flexibility towards project workloads*Degree qualified in an Electrical or related discipline or other relevant higher level technical qualificationOn offer is a generous salary and benefits package and opportunities for personal development and career progression.To apply please contact Gareth Bone or apply online
