The Role:You will have responsibility for the development and delivery of the aggregated UK demand plan ensuring the best possible customer service is offered to its customers by the UK operationYou will leading the interface between Sales, Supply Planning and Production. Through the processing of sales order and creation of works orders, you will maximise the cost efficiency of production plans, whilst ensuring that they deliver in accordance withcustomer due dates. Using your excellent communication skills you will ensure all parts pf the value chain are provided with timely information that is accurately reflected in the planning system. You will be expected to manage conflicting needs and be ableto find mutually agreeable solutions that deliver on quality, cost and delivery performance indicators. You will be expected to assert appropriate pressure on production whilst also being able to push back professionally to all stakeholders; finding viablesolutions when issues arise. You will be comfortable working with ambiguity and be confident to deploy your highly effective decision making skills to overcome issues where courses of action or impacts cannot be clearly defined. Judgement and decision makingwill be critical to success.You will be conversant with standard ERP planning methodology (e.g. min/max planning, EOQ, ATP, Due Dates, Purchase Order, Sales Order structures, and master data). and have a solid understanding of production planning best practice.Key Responsibilities of this Position:
  • Manage the Sales Order Process
  • Manage the Works Order Process
  • Lead the interface between Sales, Material Planning and Production
  • Create, manage and maintain the Production Plan.
  • Liaise with Production to facilitate Job Card creation
  • Liaise with Production for day to day planning of workshop jobs
  • Coordinate with Production for stores / pump assembly jobs
  • Coordinate / generate demand for built stock
  • Liaise with Sales for delivery lead times
  • Liaise with Transport for shipping dates and quantities.
  • Work with Production to develop and maintain an accurate capacity plan.
Required Skills & Attributes:
  • 3-5 years in a similar planning function.
  • Ideally with a background in Net Suite, but certainly proficient in ERP system usage
  • Ideally from a manufacturing or assembly background
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent inter personal skills and able to build good working relationships
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Good business acumen.
  • A flexible approach, with a desire to learn and develop.
  • Sensible and pragmatic
