Roevin Engineering, part of Adecco Group, is delighted to be working on behalf of the worlds largest producer of printing inks and pigments. The client is also a world leading provider of materials for packaging, publication, coating, plastics, cosmetics, electronic materials, brand protection, specialty services and other industrial markets. A new and exciting opportunity as Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) has arisen at their chemical manufacturing site based in Bristol. Working within a small team of engineers, the successful candidate will report to the Regional Maintenance Manager (South). The individual must be highly proficient with electrical fault finding on industrial / manufacturing equipment including PLCs As Maintenance Engineer, the key responsibility will be to ensure that all manufacturing equipment for Production / Operations are supported, maintained and developed where necessary. What is expected Core competencies in this role include: - Attention to detail - Self motivated - Positive attitude towards work - Ability to work independently but able to work within a team - Strong communication skills, written and verbal - Ability to identify problems and work with others to solve the issue in a timely fashion Essential qualification / experience required: - Recognised training / apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Maintenance related engineering scheme (NVQ, BTECH) with proven experience - Minimum ONC or equivalent technical certificate, IEE 17th Addition - COMPEX trained (not essential as training will be offered) - Competent user of AutoCAD, MS project, Excel, Word and Outlook - Full understanding of engineering drawings Desirable requirements: - Experience in chemical plant or some form of liquid processing factory experience - Knowledge of mixing vessels, milling equipment and bead mills - Experience and knowledge of factory utilities compressor, chillers and gas boilers - Working knowledge of computerised maintenance systems (SAP) If you are interested in working in this fast paced exciting environment then please dont hesitate to contact Roevin Manchester - or alternatively apply.
