Job Description

LOCATION: YATESTART DATE: ASAPSALARY: £24,500-26,500 per annumPERMANENTDAILY TIMES: 8.45am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday / 8.45am - 2.30pm FridayVacancy - Engineering Cost EstimatorESS Employment are recruiting an Estimator / Costing Engineer for our Yate based client. This is an office-based position, reporting to the Engineering Manager.Duties:

  • Prepare accurate costs for materials, labour and services
  • Input cost data into company database (Excel)
  • Notice and query differences between estimated and actual costs
  • Provide manufacturing steps
  • Liaise with both Customers and Shopfloor personnel, via telephone, email and in person
  • Maintain all standards of Health and Safety of the Company
  • Implement the company’s policies and business objectives
The individual:
  • Must be computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office
  • CAD experience desirable
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Experience of working to deadlines
