Job Description

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading water retailer based in Wynyard with the appointment of a Financial Controller.This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity to be part of a scaling business and highly engaging team as they go through a period of significant growth.Responsibilities include:

  • Accounts payable, banking and purchase to pay controls
  • Prepare consolidated management accounts and information for the board
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Prepare cash flow forecasting and reporting
  • Assist with continuous improvement of financial controls and processes
  • Assist with the knowledge development of direct reports and ensure completion of business-as-usual tasks in the department
  • Co-ordinate ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
  • Drive emphasis on quality documentation and output from the finance department
  • Payroll submission to 3rd party provider & checks for input errors
  • Liaise with external auditors
We are keen to speak with experienced and qualified Financial Controllers / Finance Managers who have experience managing, leading, and developing a finance team and function. Youll be passionate about people, keen to engage with the wider business, andpartner with stakeholders to support wider business initiatives and strategic objectives. Youll have excellent technical finance knowledge and be an advanced Excel user.
