Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are working exclusively with a world leading manufacturing business in their search for a unique and specialist Lab/Scientific technical vacancy to support in the growth of their South Yorkshire department. The role centres around engineering science support to commercial projects and the the teams development Laboratory whilst helping to develop the capabilities of the Technical Departments within the group. The position offers an outstanding opportunity to beat the forefront of technical developments within a specialist field and the chance to build/grow a technical team around you. The Scientific Services Engineers roles and responsibilities will include:*Provide support to commercial projects with regard to engineering science issues *Provide support to the teams Development Laboratory with regard to engineering science issues*Perform research and development projects that fall outside the scope of the New Product Development group. These projects should benefit other areas of the company and include presentations at suitable conferences.*Help to develop the capabilities of the technical departments within the Group with regard to engineering science issues by sharing skills/knowledge, providing training where required and the development of new tools/working methods.We are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience:*Any detailed knowledge of Noise and Vibration both theoretical and practical would be highly beneficial*A degree or similar with any additional MSc specialist studies being highly desirable*Strong knowledge of stress analysis methods and a working knowledge of FEA techniques.*Ability to understand, diagnose and provide support to the laboratory in engineering science issues.*Background in research and development topics.*Ability to train and mentor staff in the above topics.*Good communication skills at all levels.Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
