Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment Group focusing on manufacturing positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.We are supporting our client to add a further key member to their team, to develop products within the fastenings industry. The company has over 100 years of product development, engineering know-how, its a great opportunity to learn.JOB PURPOSE:To make, develop and evaluate prototype parts for new ideas and variants of the Companys products and systems which might improve the use of the Companys products. KEY RESULT AREAS:*Contribute to Company wide teams developing new products or new methods, exploring ways to safely improve product performance *Demonstrate concepts to visitors and customers to enhance the understanding of the Companys products and capabilitiesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:*Apprenticeship & ONC or equivalent in mechanical engineering or similar related discipline, plus at least five years experience in toolmaking or a similar activity*Inventive, open minded problem solver*Ability to work safely and reliably in a workshop environment*Ability to convert your own or other peoples ideas into reality in a way that enables them to be evaluated *Good communication skills to share ideas and report on progress made*Good machining, bench fitting and fabrication skillsWorking 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.If you feel you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, we would love to hear from you.
