Operations Finance Business Partner - Worksop

Job Description

A new Finance Business Partner role with a market leading manufacturing and enginnering business in Worksop.This role reports into the Financial Controllerand will form an integral part of the UK finance function. As its a new role you will need to develop relationalships across business operations and help to support the UK businesses in driving operationalfinance, developing new management accounts reports and KPIs, and ultimately identifying risks and opportunities as the business strives to achieve its strategic business objectives.Key Resposibilitiess:

• Preparation and timely submission of monthly sales and margin reports / analyses. Following a recent ERP Go Live many of the existing reports need redevelopment and updating. These reports will help the UK Financial Controller with their month end commentarybut also grow into key reports used by the wider business and help foster a Business Partner role with the UK Commercial Team
• Working with the UK Financial Controller to support the wider business to prepare annual sales budgets and mid-year forecasts as required, including the relevant bridges / commentaries to assist with explaining year on year variances
• Preparation and timely submission of month end stock reconciliations and management reporting. This will include the investigation and explanation of monthly variances, as well as stock movements and losses
• A key part of this role will be to support the UK Financial Controller in explaining the UK trade working capital position / variances to budget or forecast and will include the development / improvement of existing reports and KPIs
• Management of the annual stock take process and support the wider business with the development of a process of perpetual inventory counts. This will also help foster a Business Partner role with the UK Operations Team.
• Development and management of the UK standard costs within the ERP system, including the development of monthly reports and commentaries analysing variances between actual and standard costs
• Development of monthly reports and commentaries explaining monthly production variances, this will also require close Business Partnering with the UK Operations Team
• Development and management of the UK sales commission and rebate provisioning and reconciliation of actual claims prior to being submitted to management for approval and payment
• Other ad hoc work consistent with the Finance department and wider business objectives and possible involvement with both external and internal audits

Qualifications and Experience:

• Fully qualified CIMA/ ACCA or qualfied by experiece
• Experience within manufacturing
• Experience in margin analysis/ standard costing
• Finance business partnering skills
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• Strong analytical skills, with experience of ERP systems and the ability to extract and manipulate data into meaningful management information
• Strong MS Excel skills

Benefits package:

• Salary of £45,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on experience)
