Each day, our vans deliver direct to 10,000 convenience and forecourtoutlets from our 18 regional distribution centres and transport hubs nationwide. 365 million units delivered each year.Our Distribution Centre in Worksop is a major picking depot, employing more than 200 colleagues and operating a fleet of more than 60 vehicles.The depot serves major convenience retailers in the region.What youll be doingExciting Opportunity for Multi-Drop Delivery Van Drivers!Join Our Team at Worksops Greencore DTS DepotAre you an enthusiastic and hard-working individual We have a fantastic opportunityfor Multi-Drop Delivery Van Drivers to become part of our expanding team at the Worksop, Manton Wood Distribution Centre. This role involves delivering food products to our valued customers and offers the chance to work with some of the UKs leading brands.

  • Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 6 (Please note, due to industry demands, weekend work may be required)
  • Available Shifts: Morning shifts starting between 03:00 am and 06:00 am
  • Contract Type: Full-time
  • Salary (Pay Rate Structure):
  • Base Rate: £11.25
  • Sunday : +£1.00
  • Night : +£1.00 (10 pm - 6 am)
General Responsibilities:
  • Delivering chilled, short-shelf-life products to customer locations
  • Conducting daily inspections of the delivery vehicle before and after routes
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Taking ownership of the overall care and maintenance of the delivery van
  • Maintaining accurate logs and completing all necessary paperwork during routes
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements on the road and at customers premises
  • Taking responsibility for personal fitness to drive at all times

  1. Local Area Knowledge:
  • A strong understanding of Worksop and the surrounding areas.
  1. Customer Service Experience:
  • Previous involvement in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  1. Communication Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  1. Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  1. Positive Attitude:
  • A positive, can-do attitude towards challenges.
  1. Clean Driving Record:
  • No convictions (spent or otherwise) for careless/dangerous driving or driving under the influence of drink or drugs. Convictions for CD/DD-DR/DD within the last 5 years are not permitted.
  1. Highway Code Knowledge:
  • A reasonable knowledge of the UK Highway Code and the ability to read and understand written instructions displayed on road signs.
  1. Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar working environment.
