Job Description

Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be working with a successful manufacturing business in Worksop to recruit a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a great opportunity to work at the heart of the business, preparing weekly and monthly financial information, and working closely with operational teams. Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a deviation report on a weekly basis
  • Complete analysis of the deviations and provide a report to present each week at the factory meeting
  • Update staffing sheet and reconcile to sap
  • Ensure the consolidated labour running total reconciles with SAP
  • Production cost centre review
  • Support production in updating the consolidated labour spreadsheet to reconcile to SAP
  • Review trials for notification in SAP
  • Compile analysis and commentary for Exec. meetings
  • Month end reporting as needed, analysis and posting journals for accruals and prepayments
  • Month end Factory deviations by material
  • Business Partner the Head of Operations, providing strategic operational support by ensuring relevant analytical data is available and summarised to assist with decision making
  • Main point of contract for the operational team members for standards, costings and ad-hoc queries
  • Support with the compilation of the annual budget
  • Monthly commercial reporting and reforecasting process
  • Sales and margin analysis on a monthly basis
  • Working with Head of Finance to compile rolling 12 month forecast document
  • Involvement in CAPEX projects
  • Provide cover for the Head of Finance
  • Drive efficiencies in the factory.
Key skills / qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Advanced skills in ERP (SAP), Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels
  • Influencing skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong administrative skills
