Job Description

We are looking for a Low Risk Veg Prep Operative to join our team. The preparation team are responsible for prepping raw materials and turning them into delicious ingredients that fill our food to go products, using state of the art machinery in a fully controlled department with all the necessary training delivered through our new structured training plan.The roles we have avaliable are:

  • Sun, Mon, Tues - 16.30pm - 3.00am (30H)
  • Tues - Fri - 16.30pm - 3.00am (40H)
    • Job DescriptionYou may not have heard of us, but we’re sure you’ve tried our products because we supply food for the all the major supermarkets in the UK.Here at Manton Wood, we have a team of around 1,700 colleagues. We produce sandwiches and wraps for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi and Lidl.Our Manton Wood site has a gym, restaurant with hot food and a staff shop available to all our colleagues. What we’re looking for As a Prep Operative you will work with raw materials direct from the supplier and process them into materials suitable to be used on sandwiches, flat breads and wraps. We have state of the art machinery which enables us to slice, grate and dice any product into any shape, size or form.You will be responsible to follow methods to ensure the product that you’re preparing matches the specification the customer requires on a ‘right first time’ basis.You will be a team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, willing to support colleagues in our fast paced environment that Greencore has evolved into. You should be comfortable liaising with people at all levels across different functions within the production facility and you will be expected to support the team to ‘hit’ production schedules minimizing downtime for the production lines.
