Job Description

Lecturer in FLEX Provision (SEND)Hours; Full time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)Duration; PermanentSalary; Up to £27,940 per annum (depending on experience and qualification)Location; North Notts College but flexibility across all sites within RNN Group is required (including Rotherham & Dearne Valley) About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate professional who will further develop this area, working with students to ensure they achieve their best potential. We need someone who has qualifications and work experience in teaching or supporting learners within FLEX(SEND) provision.You will play a key role in delivering outstanding quality teaching, learning and assessment. You will also build excellent relationships within community to promote employability for students and raise the profile of the college. You will be responsiblefor the success of students and providing an enriched curriculum.You will deliver courses in the FLEX Department for students with the most complex and high needs. You will teach and develop high quality resources, supporting learners to reach their full potential by following a clear pathway, depending on the individualscircumstances, to either employment or personal independence.The 4 study programme pathways you will deliver on are; Supported Internships, Pre-supported internships, Horizons and Independent Living Skills. You may also deliver on our adult provision.You will

  • hold a teaching qualification or be working towards one
  • hold relevant Functional skills/ GCSE qualifications up to Level 2 in English & maths
  • have experience working with learners with SEND and delivering on study programmes.
  • be well organised and able to manage your own workload
  • be an excellent communicator to effectively liaise with parents, employers and colleagues in College to ensure that the students on your programmes successfully progress.
Department InfoYou will be part of the FLEX department and your line manager will be the Curriculum Manager. You will regularly report on your objectives to update your Curriculum Team Leader regarding a range of KPIs including (but not limited to) student recruitment,retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality.You will be part of a Curriculum and Department team and will work with other teaching staff to develop and share good practice in the area.Our excellent benefits and rewards package:
