Head of Operations | Worksop | £80,000 to £90,000 DOE | LogisticsCherry Professional are excited to support this rapidly growing, Nottingham based logistics business, that is already looking to double in turnover by next year, to bring on board a Head of Operations.Would you like to join an exciting and innovative business as part of the Senior Leadership Team Perhaps you are looking for an opportunity to showcase both your operational and strategic expertise Reporting into the Managing Director, you will confidently lead from the front, in order to motivate and manage the Operational Team to hit business critical KPIs, whilst delivering a top class service to the customer. You will continuously look for improvements across all departmental processes and procedures and will drive this change through effectiveteam engagement. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively to a wide target audience, both internally and externally. This would suit someone with some understanding of import and export policies and procedures.This really is an exciting opportunity that doesnt come around very often. If this sounds like you then please apply or get in touch for more information.The Role.- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and service.- Work cross functionally to continuously improve service. You will build and maintain effective relationships through the organisation. - Lead and contribute to discussions within department, company and customers in order to solve problems and make commercial decisions.- Responsible for understanding, communicating and driving the department KPIs. - Designing and reporting on key operational metrics, ensuring that the business constantly stays ahead of the competition. - Review and stay up to date with relevant compliance documentation and work into the operation where necessary. - To lead, motivate and manage the performance of the Operational Team to surpass KPIs using the management information, processes & policies to achieve them.- To maintain, improve and manage a safe working environment. Ensuring that team members are fully aware and comply with all Health and Safety standards.The Person.- Previous experience in an operational/managerial role within a logistics or supply chain environment.- Process driven. You continuously strive to improve efficiencies and streamline procedures.- Excellent internal and external communication skills.- Strong attention to detail.- The ability to confidently analyse, report and commentate on data.- Excellent presentation skills.- Leadership skills.
