Job Description

Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as afacilities assistantplays a core part in providing fantastic customer service.Hours: 15 hours per weekSalary: £9.60 per hourDuration: Permanent contract What its like to work here Clumber Park is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres. Clumber was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. From the Gothic-style chapel, often referred to as a Cathedral in miniature,you can follow in the footsteps of Dukes through the peaceful pleasure ground to the Walled Kitchen Garden where you can experience sights, scents and a taste of the past. Reporting to the Facilities Co-Ordinator, youll be working in a small and friendly team, responsible for statutory compliance tasks and the care and maintenance of the buildings at both Clumber Park and Mr Straws House. This is a very varied role whereno two days are the same, and as a member of our maintenance team, youll have access to behind the scenes areas that arent available to our visitors. What youll be doing As a Facilities Assistant youll assist with the daily maintenance and presentation of the National Trusts buildings and outdoor spaces. Youll turn your practical hand to reactive repairs and planned maintenance and will assist with regularcompliance tasks, to ensure that our facilities are kept in good working order and that our properties comply with current Health & Safety legislation. Duties such as fire alarm and emergency lighting testing, fire extinguisher and legionella checks will all form a core part of your role, as will working with all departments across the property, to ensure that day to day operations run as smoothly as possible.Youll help us to look after our special places for future generations and ensure the highest standards of customer service by implementing a customer comes first attitude and will.Please also read the full role profile attached to this advert.
