Job Description

Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer based in the Worksop, Nottinghamshire area. They are seeking an enthusiastic Desing Engineer / Draftsperson to join their design team, and assist withinmachinery design.Design Engineer / Draftsperson Position Overview

  • Design of machinery whilst optimising quality and efficiency
  • Carrying out stress analysis
  • Attending customer sites throughout the UK and occasionally overseas to conduct site surveys
  • Conducting research and development & liaising with customers
  • Production of parts & assembly drawings using software including AutoCAD
  • Improving and re-modelling of existing CAD files
Design Engineer / Draftsperson Position Requirements
  • Strong background in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • Knowledge in Materials Handling would be advantageous.
  • At least 3 years experience working in a design office environment.
  • Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Advance Steel, Tekla or other 3D software.
  • Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to site and carry out site surveys.
  • Excellent technical communication skills.
  • Must be able to work within a team and use their own initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Must be able to work within defined timescales, ensuring deadlines are met.
Design Engineer / Draftsperson Position Remuneration
  • Full time - Permanent
  • Salary £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position
  • Holiday allowance and pension
