Job Description

Pertemps are proud to be working with a large Logistics Company based in the Worksop rea of Sheffield to Recruit an experienced Customer Service Executive to work within their Operations Allocations department.

  • The role will involve acting as the first point of contact for customers by dealing with a wide range of customer requests.
  • Providing a high quality, responsive, efficient customer service and deal ing with customers enquiries to a high standard
  • Develop and maintain good professional relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Assign new shipments to carriers and monitor to ensure they are completed within agreed timelines
  • Ensure PODs (Proof of Delivery) for each shipment are quality checked and signed off to meet the customer requirements
  • Manage carrier app adoption to ensure shipments are updated in real-time through to completion
  • Investigate and resolve carrier platform non-compliance, implementing robust corrective actions to reduce repeat issues
  • Provide platform technical support and training to carriers to enable full compliance
  • Manage and process a high volume of incoming emails using Microsoft Dynamics
  • Take ownership for inbound enquiries ensuring complete customer satisfaction and query resolution
  • Ensure expected customer service levels are maintained at all times
  • Managing shipment orders end to end, monitoring the platform to meet business KPIs such as OTIF, SLAs etc
  • Building strong relationships and provide support to carriers and shippers to execute day to day loads
  • Manage real time challenges and escalations to resolution with an owners mind-set
  • Documentation checking and monitoring the success of user adoption
  • Provide feedback and ideas for product and process improvement
  • Support the training and on boarding of new colleagues in a rapidly growing team
  • Contribute to the development of operating procedures and user guides
Experience required:
  • Good level of customer service experience required ideally gained within a Logistics environment
  • Technically minded and customer focused
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently
  • Transport logistics experience is desirable and would be an added bonus!
  • You must have a proven ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks to achieve shared and personal objectives
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy ensuring right first time
  • Adept at quickly learning new technology and working in a digital, paperless environment
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
