Job Description

We are currently looking for 6Networking Systems Lecturers that can work remotely or via the following MOD bases, Blandford Dorset, Swindon Wiltshire, Gosport Hampshire or Wolverhampton West Midlands.Salary is £33,700 along with a Public sector Teachers Superannuation Scheme with 6% Pension contribution.Generous holiday. 30 days annual leave plus 8 days PH and 1 day privilege for Queens birthday39 annual leave in total.Generous absence. Sickness absence of 5 months full pay reducing after 5 month in a 3 year period to half pay for a further 5 months, then on to statutory sick pay.Free secure parking,full gymnasium and cardiovascular/weight gym at £10 annual membership.Subsidised cinema on camp showing latest releases and a selection of retail/refreshment facilities at reduces rates.DCTT MISSION.1. Train and educate aeronautical engineering (AE), electronic and mechanical engineering (EME), nuclear and marine engineering (MarE) and communications and information systems (CIS) personnel in order to meet the Defence requirement.DCTT VISION.2. A Valued Defence College training inspired single Service combat-winning engineers.DEPARTMENT TASKS.3. The key responsibility of a 11 (RSS) Sig Regt Burnham Lecturer, under DSCIS Management Procedures, is to train tri-service and civilian personnel using a range of delivery techniques to support their capabilities for defence. Burnham Lecturers have responsibilityfor the following:a. The production and maintenance of training material to support their teaching.b. The production and maintenance of examination questions and tests.c. Adhering strictly to the time laid down for start and finish of instruction and ensuring that their classrooms are open 5 minutes before start of instruction.j. Being familiar with the DSCIS Blandford Safety and Fire Orders and ensuring that the correct actions are taken by students in case of a fire alarm or other warning being sounded.p. Proposing training aids to syndicates and, where appropriate, preparing them.q Undertaking training development as directed by Head OSD.r. Invigilating, marking and validating examinations.s. Ensuring that all safety precautions are compiled with.t. Ensuring that all basic equipment required for instructional purposes is available and serviceable.u. Ensuring that adequate quantities of Course Manuals (CMs) are available for theirQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE9. Essential. The essential specific professional skills, knowledge or qualifications for the post are as follows:a. Formal teaching qualification. Minimum of Level 5 Certification of Education (Cert Ed), Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET) is preferable, or equivalent.b. Minimum degree-level qualification in IT/ICT.c. Specialist qualifications. CISCO Networking; CCNA (Introduction to Networks (ITN), Cisco Switching, Routing and Wireless Essentials (SWRE), CISCO Enterprise Networking, Security and Automation (ENSA)) and and higher level vocational training in IT/ICT CISCONetworking CCNP; (CISCO SD-Wan Solutions (ENSLD), Designing CISCO Enterprise Networks (ENSLD), Designing CISCO Enterprise Wireless Networks (ENWLSD))10. Desirable. The essential specific professional skills, knowledge or qualifications for the post are as follows:a. Experience. HRMS familiarity.b. Qualifications. MSc and or specialist qualifications associated with the subjects being delivered.
