Data Migration EngineerFully Remote£50,000 - £60,000 + benefitsOverviewA market leading software business within a group of companies globally, trading an annual turnover of £115m achieved in 2018. This is a growth business and a great opportunity for an experienced Data Migration Engineer looking for that next step in their career.Ideal CandidateYou will support the build and deployment of ETL pipelines including the design and build database objects. You will be supporting the build, tuning, and configuration of database servers using DB2, Oracle and SQL Server for both automation and manual instances.You will also be looking to continuously improve your own skills and knowledge, keeping up-to-date with new technology.The roleThe Data Engineer will be a technical expert within the team and responsible for migrating, transforming, and loading data and the tuning and optimal configuration of internal systems. Using AWS to deliver services via the cloud which compromises many clientenvironments.As Data Engineers primarily work on project deliverables responsible for data architecture, data quality, migration strategy, data cutover and post go-live support working within a service-focused team delivering excellent value to our customers.Key roles and responsibilities You will hold a computer software degree and/or test engineering educated with industry certification A solid 5+ years commercial experience and strong programming and configuration background (highly desirable) You will have actively participated in medium to large scale migration project involving both and design, including ETL, documentation, validation and testing You will have experience of working on ETL and cloud environments ideally Azure Some database administration knowledge and also experienced with SQL and query tuning using either RDBMS: DB2, Oracle and SQL Server Experience of working with JIRA and Agile environmentsIf you are looking for a fantastic opportunity with a market leading company then please send your CV to and I will then give you a call to discuss the role and company profile in more detail.
