Job Description

Certification EngineerWolverhamptonPermanentCirca £27,500We are currently working with a well-established manufacturer and supplier based in Wolverhampton, who are looking for a Sales Executive to join their team. The successful Certification Engineer will actively support the needs of the businessand certification department by compiling test certification documentation with a view to always ensuring coverage in these areas.Whats on offer

  • Salary circa £27,500 - depending on experience.
  • 26 days holiday + Statutory days.
  • Working hours of 8am - 4:30pm - Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities of the Certification Engineer:
  • Raising 3.1 / 3.2 type certification.
  • Organising third party / customer inspection visits and liaising with relevant surveyors.
  • Raising customer-specific documentation.
  • Passing off / releasing supplier material certification.
  • Review and book in incoming test results.
  • Review certification against the designated standards.
  • Establishing strong working relations with colleagues within all departments to ensure all documentation is produced within applicable quality procedures and customer requirements.
  • To work according to quality assurance procedures as promulgated by the company.
  • To undertake other related duties to meet the needs of the designated group.
  • Reporting regularly to the Certification Supervisor.
The Successful Certification Engineer:
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a C grade pass in Maths and English.
  • An understanding of fasteners and associated material specifications and / or material testing.
  • Very organised with a high attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to the working environment is required at all times.
  • The job may require working above normal weekly hours as required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing specifications.
  • Knowledge of steel production processes would be advantageous.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to implement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
