Job Description

Are you looking for a new role with an IMMEDIATE startA great new opportunity has become available with my client based in Wolverhampton for Catering Manageron a temporary to permanent basis.This Family Centre has a fantastic cause and they are looking for a new member of the team who can support them in their mission.The role will be to manage all aspects of an inspiring, healthy and cost-effective catering provision including line managingCatering Assistants.The role encompasses creating, preparing and cooking inspiring, innovative and appealing dishes that are low cost, and the post holder must be passionate about local produce, minimising food waste, have a “can do” attitude and relate wellto young people.Within your role you will be :

  • Lead catering provision,line manage the catering team, together with arranging and managing staffing rotas, including staff holidays, within the staffing budget
  • Responsible for managing a sustainable service; taking responsibility for pricing, the provision of a popular menu, working to a strict budget and minimise waste
  • Monitor stock control procedures
  • Serving Lunch & Dinnerfood and drinks service to families and staff
  • Record catering performance against key indicators
  • Establish and complete cleaning schedules
  • Ensure all Health & Safety and Environmental Health requirements are adhered to
  • Order and control all stock, including identifying alternative suppliers
  • Handlecash and the subsequent financial administration
  • Preparing healthy and nutritional meals for approx 50/70 people per shift
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within a busy kitchen environment and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate, DBS required.Working hours - upto 35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times between 10am and 7pm.
