Fortis Recruitment are working exclusively with an international manufacturing company to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team. They are based in the Wokingham area and looking for someone to manage a finance team of three. The current FinancialController is looking to retire in the near future which will give a generous handover period to the successful candidate.We are looking for someone who is ACCA or CIMA qualified (or near completion) with advanced knowledge of Sage 200, you will also need to have advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft Office and Power BI. Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantagebut not essential. My client have a set of core values that they live in their day to day working lives. Above all they want people to bring ideas and energy to work and enjoy the work they are doing.The financial Controller will be responsible for everything done by the finance team including cashflow management, reporting, producing management accounts and managing legal and fiscal requirements both UK and internationally. There are other requirementssuch as VAT returns, reconciling consignment stock, fixed asset register and reconciliation and managing stock provision for slow and obsolete stock.The financial controller position sits on the leadership team and is a key appointment for the company. You will need to be a great team player but have the drive to get things done, often to tight deadlines. Commercial understanding is a must and any experiencein a manufacturing experience is a significant advantage.This position comes with a salary of £60-70k depending on experience as well as an enhanced benefits package.
