Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join this growing energy efficiency group in the Reading area. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will bring management accounting expertise to the team.Client DetailsBased in the Reading area, our client is a growing organisation in the sustainability and energy efficiency sector.DescriptionAs Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of the month end process, including management accounts pack and distribution to various stakeholders
  • Responsibility for P&L reconciliations including revenue, gross margins and overheads
  • Working closely with profit centre managers to ensure that the financial performance is accurately recorded
  • Preparation and issue of variance reports to monitor and report on variances to budgets and targets
  • Oversee and review monthly and quarterly VAT returns, payroll and HMRC compliance
  • Overseeing AP and AR
  • Reporting and reconciliation of stock
  • Preparation of year end documentation ready for audit
ProfileTo be successful as Finance Manager you will be a qualified accountant with strong communication skills. You will have excellent data volume skills including excel and pivot tables. You will have previous experience of managing a finance team within an SMEenvironment, with excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
