Job Description

Assembly Technician

Syntech Recruitment are partnered with a world-renowned engineering and manufacturing client based close to Reading. We are currently sourcing assembly technicians on a full time, permanent basis. Ideally, the successful candidates will have demonstrable assemblyexperience (1 year+) and will have worked to assembly drawing and/or have built from kit lists. Theses positions may also suit graduates from an engineering/manufacturing graduate course. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble complete unit from kits/components.
  • Test final product.
  • Participates in Stock takes for components, consumables and tools when required.
  • Provides basic Quality control for components or products as and when required.
  • Provides basic polishing-refurbishing of components when required.
  • Uses IT workstations to enter data when required for status and tracking of flow products and components.
  • Maintains all equipment and tool in optimum working condition, which includes sharpening, washing, sterilising and cleaning.
Assembly Technician Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 GCSE, inc Maths and English
  • 1 years experience in similar industry,
  • Proficient in micromechanics ideally (engineering, electronics, avionics, model maker etc)
Competencies and personal attributes:
  • Willing to adapt proactively and positively to new challenges
  • Able to repeat repetitive tasks accurately and consistently.
  • Good dexterity, a practical nature, meticulous attention to detail and exemplary organisational skills
  • Competent on basic computer programs
  • Able to communicate well, both orally and in written English.
  • A hardworking and reliable attitude
