Job Description

Hello and thank you for your interest in our role!Gibbs & Dandy Woking are looking for a Yard Assistant to join their team! Our branch is well-established and busy, with a friendly team who work hard to offer a great service and excellent product knowledge. We have a sales office, warehouse,shop & counter, timber supply and customer delivery vehicles.Our branches are busy places, with lots going on inside and out. As a Yard Assistant, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and yard running smoothly. From serving our customers in the yard to loading vehicles ready for delivery, and from monitoring stock to growing our sales, youll be at the heart of ouroperations.The role is predominantly based outside, which means youll face the cold of winter and the warmth (hopefully!) of summer, but well provide you with the things you need to do the job, whatever the weather!So, what are we looking for

  • A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a customer 1st attitude
  • The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
  • Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A positive team player
A forklift licence would be also be an advantage, however its not essential as we can organise training for you.Hours of Work - Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and every other Saturday from 7:30am to 12pmWhat will we offer youAs part of Saint-Gobain Group, here at Gibbs & Dandy we offer:
