Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Trade Counter candidate from a builders merchant background on behalf of their well established client in Woking.Working hours:Monday to Friday 6:30am to 4:00pm & 1 Saturday on 1 off 6:30am to 11:00amSalary:£27k to £31k per annumThis role involves:

  • processing orders
  • making outbound calls to construction businesses to bring on new businesses
  • serving customers who come into store
  • building rapport with customers
  • keeping store stocked and presentable
  • answering inbound calls from customers and suppliers
  • supporting the yard operatives as and when needed
  • providing product information
  • helping customers with product andquantity amounts required for their specific jobs when needed
The successful candidate will have/be:
  • previously worked within a trade counter position within a builder’s merchant environment
  • excellent customer service (inbound calls and face to face)
  • comfortable building rapport with customers face to face and over the phone
  • reliable and trustworthy
  • looking to progress grow within the company
  • fluent English speaking, reading and writing
  • computer literate
  • a team player and will have the ability to work on own initiative
