This is an exciting time to join Surrey County Councils Children with Disabilities Service as we move forward with imbedding the Family Safeguarding Model to improve outcomes for our children.Working closely with our colleagues in Education and Health, the Children with Disabilities Service aims to safeguard and promote the welfare and development of disabled children whilst supportingthem to be cared for, where possible, by their families at home.The service, made up of five teams across the county, provides parents with support to manage the care of children with substantial and permanent disabilities.As a Team Manager you will have responsibility for a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers in theSouth Westarea of the County.Your line-management responsibilities will include individual and group supervision, case management, management of risk, performance management and supporting workers to develop and progress in-line with our ambitious improvement plans for the service.Your leadership skills, experience of working with children and young people, and specialist knowledge will ensure that your team delivers and learns from good practice, is accountable for their work and committed to improving outcomes for children.You will be required to be a Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.Wed love to hear from you if you are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
