Job Description

Senior Technical BuyerLocation: WokingShift: Days45 hours per weekPermanentSenior Technical Buyer - Prototype Build required to join a well-established company based in Woking on a permanent basis.Our client is an automotive supercar and hyper-car brand, with a global reputation for producing high performance vehicles. Working with some of the most iconic designs using modern engineering this company is one of a kind and their attention to detailis second to none.Senior Technical Buyer Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the acquisition of low-volume prototype components and tooling.
  • Encourage a lean approach to achieving important purchasing goals.
  • Engage with Engineering perhaps youll be a major decision-maker with influence.
  • Setting defined targets and monitoring the performance of your suppliers and other organisational functions.
Senior Technical Buyer Skill and Responsibilities:
  • Capability to lead negotiations and assist teams in developing strategies for large and complex projects.
  • Proven experience working with a variety of commodities.
  • Technical skills and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings are required.
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, as well as strong leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, deadline adherence, and remarkable attention to accuracy and detail in an Automotive/Motorsport environment.
  • Willingness to build / lead / energise a team in order to provide outstanding results and ongoing process improvement.
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to meet aggressive targets in order to fulfil the overall team goals.
  • Capability to take the lead in contract implementation and management.
  • Working understanding of quality processes is required.
  • Proven supply chain management and procurement experience with both small and big value transaction.
  • Experience with CAD-based part review systems, preferably CATIA.
  • Experience with SAP would be useful but not required.
  • CIPS certification would be advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent IT abilities and familiarity with Microsoft Office programmes.
  • A bachelors degree in a comparable subject or equivalent experience and professional training.
