Job Description

Project Worker – Move on Accommodation, up to £23,000 per annum, 37.5 hours (including weekend work)The York Road Project supports people experiencing homelessness in Woking. We also work alongside statutory and non-statutory agencies to develop and lead in delivering a client centred support package to improve the outcomes for single, non-priority homeless in Woking and Waverley.If you are a Project Worker, looking for a challenging and rewarding role that can contribute to the essential support we provide, then we want to hear from you!In this role, you will be responsible for managing four properties and the clients who live there along with the housing management and Health and Safety for all move on properties. In addition, you will work with our clients to develop and deliver a client centred support plan.You will be an integral part of the YRP team supporting those who are experiencing homelessness in Woking. You will be responsible for meeting the everyday needs of our clients, engaging with them and offering support to help them move away from homelessness and into longer-term, stable accommodation.You will have:

  • A driving licence and your own transport
  • You will be compassionate and empathetic – yet flexible in your approach
  • You will have common sense and be pragmatic – with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Understand what good customer service is and how it operates
  • You will appreciate that there is a requirement for good computer literacy skills to ensure that information is kept up to date and in line with legislative requirements. There is also a need to follow agreed practices, policies and procedures eg. safeguarding etc but we need you to have a flexible approach too… however we will provide the training and development needed to support you in this role.In return, we are offering a salary of up to £23,000 per annum, 25 days’ holiday, pension and discount package.
