This role has a starting salary of £36,989 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.Surrey County Council is on an ambitious and exciting journey, and we are seeking a Project Officer to join the Policy, Planning and Programmes (PPP) team, on a one-year fixed term contract. Our team is part of the Quality Relationships service that is partof the Children, Families and Lifelong Learning Directorate.The PPP team is at the heart of the Quality Relationships service which comprises of an integrated set of strategic teams which support and inform operational services within the directorate. The aim of the PPP team is to create avenues for engagement withour partners and service users, to contribute to Surreys continuous improvement ambitions and most significantly work towards improving the lives of Surreys children, young people and families.Surrey County Council has an agile working approach meaning that you are likely to only be required to attend the office up to 2 days a week.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Officer to support and lead a range of projects. Youll be responsible for advancing our Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) strategy and action plan with colleagues from the Directorate of EqualityGroup and with senior leaders, developing strong relationships with a wide range of diverse colleagues. Additionally, you will help deliver up to four engaging webinars a year for colleagues to broaden and develop their understanding of EDI topics.As part of this role, you will also create content for our internal SharePoint site that attracts colleagues and shares information clearly, aiming to maximise technology to create efficiencies, whilst ensuring accessibility and reducing digital marginalisation.Project managing, or assisting with managing multiple projects to support the wider work of the team will also be a key aspect of this role.To be considered for shortlisting for interview, your application should evidence:
