Job Description

The starting salary for this role is £27,897 per annum, working 36 hours per week.We are looking for a full time MASH Administration Coordinator to join our team of four Coordinators who play a vital role in our busy team. Adults MASH are working with key partners to ensure there are appropriate referrals to frontlineteams, more effective information sharing between agencies and better informed risk assessment and decision making.Rewards and Benefits

About the roleWe are a team of seven Social Workers and Senior Social Care Assistants working in a multi-agency setting with Police, Mental Health Services and Childrens Services. We also have virtual partnerships with a host of other agencies. Our main function is toreceive all safeguarding concerns for adults at risk in Surrey and gather information to take action in order to manage immediate risk and inform a decision under section 42 of the Care Act 2014. We also receive a high volume of referrals relating to concernsfor the wellbeing of individuals which do not relate to Section 42 and we need to determine whether this information needs to be shared and with whom.Due to the multi-agency nature of the team and work we often have to adapt the way we work to keep up with demand and respond to changes in process of partner agencies. As a whole team we work collaboratively to meet challenges and all members of the teamare encouraged to be a part of identifying and testing solutions, so an ability to quickly adapt to change is vital.As well as supporting with administration tasks to maintain the smooth running of the team, your main role will be screening the referrals and calls that come into the team to ensure they are directed to the most appropriate team or agency to respond andgathering information from the referrer to enable the most appropriate response. This is a fast-paced job, and you will be expected to have a good understanding of the role of adult services, and the ability to identify risk and respond accordingly. We workremotely as well as having dedicated time in the office to collaborate as a team.In your application, we would love to hear about your:

  • MS Office proficiency,
  • Awareness of the Care Act, particularly relating to Safeguarding Adults, or a commitment to training and applying knowledge to practice.
