Job Description

Head of Compliance-General Insurance£115,000/£130,000 + car allowance + bonus + bensSurrey based - With a hybrid flexible working modelAlexander Lloyd Senior Finance are delighted to be partnering high growth General Insurance Organisation who are looking to hire a Head of ComplianceWe are seeking a Head of Compliance to join supporting the commercial lines of businessReporting into the Chief Compliance Officer, the Head of Compliance will ensure the delivery of effective, comprehensive, professional and independent compliance advice and support across all their regulated firms.

  • Advising on the implications of relevant regulatory developments for each business area
  • Providing accurate and pragmatic risk-based advice, guidance and challenge to the first line
  • Representing second line compliance in major initiatives and projects, both in the UK and globally
  • The preparation of reports for both executive and Board level committees
  • Working closely with the Head of Regulatory to ensure FCA liaison is complete, accurate and timely
  • Overseeing regulatory actions and activities to ensure these are completed in a timely and comprehensive manner
  • Team leadership/coaching/development
  • Deputising for the CCO as required
Candidate Criteria
  • Extensive knowledge of EU and UK financial services regulatory developments
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of the UK general insurance market
  • Working in a senior leadership role in a Compliance/Risk or Legal function
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Insurance/legal/finance qualification
  • Professional member of the Chartered Insurance Institute
