Opportunity for experienced Buyer to join a large and successful engineering organisation in a role which offers excellent prospects for personal development and career progression. Hybrid working option.This role will be approximately 50% strategic, working on identifying and delivering Category Management and other cost reduction/value enhancements from the supply base by working closely with Business Stakeholders and EMEA Lead Buyers. The other 50% ofthe role will be focussed on tactical activities, covering supplier performance, ad hoc sourcing requirements, commercial aspects of the P2P process to support and drive the wider strategic plans and Procurements journey to become a High Performing Organisation.The successful candidate will already be an experienced Buyer, with strong negotiation skills and familiar with working in an engineering/technical stakeholders. Previous experience of working in a project-based environment and previous experience of CategoryManagement preferred, together with a knowledge of what makes a good contract / contract drafting. CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) or working towards, would be useful.
