The starting salary for this role is £24,780 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.(which will include alternate Saturdays and an evening till 7pm). The successful applicant will occasionally work at Addlestone, Knaphill, and West Byfleetlibraries.Please note, depending on the library being worked at, start and finish times may vary between 9am and 7pm. The rota is also subject to revision to meet the needs of the library service.Branch Managersare responsible for day-to-day operations in one or more libraries and lead a team of staff and volunteers to create a dynamic and welcoming library service for the whole of their local community. This is a role where you will have many opportunitiesto have a direct impact on your community, whether providing books and information, organising events and cultural activities, or helping build local partnerships to encourage learning and improve local health and wellbeing.You will contribute to achieving our strategy for providing a first-class modern library service for the people of Surrey. You will have a proven record of working effectively under pressure, ideally in a busy multi-tasking environment, and have a flexibleattitude to work patterns. You will also be able to demonstrate how you can work effectively, both independently and as part of a management team, supporting each other to supervise and develop staff in your group and ensuring an overall standard of excellentcustomer care.You will be committed to reading, information delivery, virtual services and professional development of yourself and others.
