The Challenge Service Delivery of Facilities Management (FM) within Central Region is discharged across six areas; including Airfields Sub-Region which comprises of 4 main Operating Bases (3 RAF -Waddington, Coningsby and Marham plus 1 Land – Wattisham Station) co-ordinated via a HQ, located at RAF Wittering. The E1 Tech Sppt post is located with the Airfields Sub-Region HQ team. The post advertised is for 37 hours net, however the Ministry of Defence offers a range of flexibilities to enable a better work-life balance for employees. Flexible working, Part-time working and Job Share working patterns will be considered.Job descriptionThe Role The post is charged to provide support to the HQ team on a daily basis, contributing to the operational delivery of the Central Region contract (NGEC) and management of the Estate. This is a friendly and supportive team, working in a fast paced, diverse and customer facing role. Post Locations RAF Wittering, Peterborough, Cambs PE8 6HBResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities The priority outputs are to:- • Provide support to the Airfields Sub-Region Area Manager and HQ staff to administer/interrogate the NGEC assurance/performance/compliance • Produce dashboards and data to financially track/monitor expenditure relating to additional works. • Engage with wider stakeholders as required, including industry • Co-ordinate/provide administration to various meetings • General office administration to ensure that business outputs can be delivered by the wider team. To deliver the above responsibilities it would be beneficial for the successful candidate to have a working knowledge of MS Office; specifically Excel. Travel Requirements There will be an occasional requirement to travel to the Airfields Sub-Region Sites and to the Central Region Hub at RAF Wyton MOD sites. MOD transport (self drive) or travel allowances will be provided. About our Team The immediate HQ team is lead by the Area Manager (Lt Col) , who is supported by the Area Programmer, HQ GE plus the Performance and Compliance Manager who has Line Management responsibilities for this post.
