Job Description

Caf SupervisorAn exciting position has become available for a part-time Caf Supervisor based in Wishaw. The successful candidate will earn £10.00 per hour. Hours of work will be 21.5 hours per week to be worked on a flexible basis Monday-Saturday over at least 3 days.This is an exciting role in a relatively new venture, with an opportunity to bring your ideas to life within a new caf environment.Our client encourages applications from people who have personal experience of mental health issues.Role Requirements

  • Warm and friendly and passionate about customer service.
  • Ability to run a team of staff and volunteers.
  • Accountability across all areas of people care , customer service, food quality and cash handling.
  • Background in hospitality, service sector.
  • Experience of working with volunteers/trainees/junior staff.
  • Understanding of the local community.
Role Responsibilities (not limited to)
  • Ensuring premises are safe, secure, clean, tidy and well presented.
  • Ensuring that customer service is of a high standard.
  • Assisting with training, support and ongoing development of staff and volunteers.
  • Assisting with rota management of caf staff and volunteers.
  • Co-ordinate daily activities of cafe staff and volunteers.
  • Assisting to maintain cleaning and maintenance systems within caf.
  • Operation of till and handling cash, with responsibility for cash.
  • Accountable for monies in the caf, including undertaking tasks such as banking, cash checks, petty cash and maintaining necessary financial records and reports.
  • Responsibility for inputting systems, procedures and record keeping that support the running of the cafe in line with food safety standards, environmental health and health and safety regulations, including any COVID-19 related guidelines/procedures. Liaisingwith any statutory or regulatory bodies in relation to aforementioned as required.
  • Contributing to menu suggestions.
  • Contributing to food led events.
  • Contribute to the marketing strategy to enhance the cafs offerings to local community.
  • To maintain positive working relationships with other staff, volunteers and external agencies.
  • Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are known by yourself and adhered to by staff and volunteers.
  • Ensuring advertised trading hours are adhered to and premises are opened and closed at relevant times.
  • Holding a key to premises, opening and closing premises as required.
  • To attend and contribute to team meetings.
