Job Description

Sales & Operations Planning Manager (S&OP Manager) | Highly Competitive SalaryNewly created Sales & Operations Planning Manager / S&OP Manager position for a multi national business, working and reporting to the Head of Purchasing. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking manufacturing business that is experiencing continued growth and expansion. SOP / SIOP experience is essential for this role, along with building and developing processes. Someone who is a proactive planner, has worked with supply chain to drive buying and has increased efficiencies through their approach to their role. Sales & Operations Planning Manager overview of responsibilities:

  • Ownership of and to manage the full Sales and Operations Planning (SOPs) cycle for the manufacturing sites
  • Supply Planning: Establishing the full input for the supply side liaising closely with sales, engineering, operations and purchasing, ensuring they are certain on capacity and material requirements
  • Demand Planning: Establishing the full input of the demand side, liaising closely with the sales and operational teams, ensuring any changes in forecast are within the agreed schedule time and flexibility limits
  • Generate an achievable Master Production plan each month and communicate to the wider business
  • Define methodology to analyse various scenario planning
  • Publishing at the start of each month and re-issuing based on any revisions
  • Provide various scenario planning
  • Attend and capture any short-term delivery to plan issues through the daily production meeting and ensure any issues arising communicated / escalated as required
  • Collate weekly efficiency measures for the factory based on labour hours worked compared to labour hours planned
  • Attend daily production meetings - review to measure progress to plan, plan attainment KPI, recovery actions if required
  • Constantly review material availability to line and advise on issues and improvements.
  • Track ordering and delivery cycle of critical materials
  • Build sales, operations and planning processes and role out across the site
    • Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong production planning and manufacturing experience
  • ERP- Manufacturing, Inventory & Planning Software
  • Strong Supply planning along with business process implementation and improvements
  • Proven experience of increasing efficiencies through a through knowledge of sales, inventory control and operational planning.
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and very strong numeracy and analytical skills
