As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where your mechanical engineering skills and problem-solving abilities will be put to the test.As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of their facility as well as mechanical systems and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in minimising downtime caused by breakdowns andconducting prompt repairs to keep their operations running efficiently. This hands-on position requires a strong mechanical background, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other maintenance and operational teams.Responsibilities:Help to maintain the site facilities and assist with a wide variety of general maintenance tasks around the site and the machinery.Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment to identify potential issues and minimise breakdowns.Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose the root cause of the problem, and implement effective repair solutions.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, calibration, and replacement of worn-out mechanical components, to ensure optimal equipment performance.Collaborate with internal teams to schedule maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to facility operations.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and spare part inventory.Qualifications:Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience as a Mechanical Facilities Maintenance Engineer or similar role.Knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment, including mechanical components, control systems, and power transmission.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify the root cause of breakdowns and implement effective repair solutions.Familiarity with preventive maintenance techniques and tools specific to mechanical systems.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.You will receive:24 days annual leave + bank holidaysCompany PensionHealth shield planAbility to buy additional annual leave.To register your interest, please apply directly to this advert.
