* Excellent Training* Hybrid Fuelled company vehicle* East Anglia coverage areaJob Title: Fire and Security Systems TechnicianWe are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire and Security Systems Technician to join our team. As a Fire and Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for providing service, small works, and maintenance of fire and security systems for ourclients. This role offers an opportunity for growth, as fire training will be provided to strong skilled security engineers who are willing to be trained. The training will adhere to Gent and FIA standards, ensuring a high level of expertise.Responsibilities:* Perform service, maintenance, and small works on fire and security systems, including installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades.* Conduct system inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.* Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored solutions for their fire and security system needs.* Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system functionality, operation, and maintenance.* Document all service and maintenance activities accurately, including work orders, reports, and client communication.* Maintain a thorough understanding of the Gent and FIA training standards to deliver services to the highest possible standard.* Respond promptly to on-call and standby duties, ensuring timely resolution of emergency situations.* Efficiently manage your workload and coordinate with the team to meet project deadlines and client expectations.* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.Requirements:* Prior experience working with fire and security systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.* Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of fire and security systems.* Willingness to undergo fire training and obtain necessary certifications (Gent and FIA) if not already possessed.* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues effectively.* Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.* Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.* Availability for on-call duty for 2 days and standby duty for 2 days per week, on a 4-weekly basis (standby compensation provided).* Availability to work from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate project requirements and client needs.Benefits:* Competitive salary with additional compensation for on-call and standby periods.* Compensation for travel time, excluding the first and last 30 minutes of travel.* Company car provided, including private usage, likely to be a hybrid-fueled vehicle.* Opportunities for professional growth through fire training (Gent and FIA standards).* Positive and collaborative work environment within a reputable organization.If you are a skilled and dedicated Fire and Security Systems Technician looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we invite you to apply.
