Job Description

Are you an experienced engineer who enjoys leading a team Are you looking for a new days only opportunityWe are currently recruiting for an Engineering Shift Leaderat our Wisbech site!As one of our highly skilled maintenance shift leaders your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Plan and prioritise the shift workload for the engineering team to enable production targets to be achieved by maximising machinery up time
  • Execute the planned preventative maintenance schedule to maximise machinery up time and minimise disruption to production targets
  • Ensure all plant and equipment adhere to all relevant legislation and so that a safe working environment is maintained all times
  • Ensure the shift engineering team produces all documents and reports accurately and presents information in the required format to given time scales
  • Continually drive towards a PPM culture
  • Lead the engineering team to create a high performing culture where team members are supported to achieve their potential
  • Compliance with all health and safety, Food safety, quality, and hygiene standards

We truly put our people at the core and are proud of our diversity.It is essential you are an apprentice trained engineer with a formal engineering qualification such as C&G, SVQ3, NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, electrically bias
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations (Electrical) or HNC Engineering - alongside previous maintenance experience gained preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable)
  • Experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer within industrial/manufacturing environments
  • A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop as there is considerable opportunity for developmentwithin our large engineering function
