Summary of roleThe clinical nurse manager will be responsible for the nursing leadership at the Willows Hospital. The role will work a mixture of clinical nursing and supernumery operational management days to ensure the nursing and care support workforce are delivering care to high standards. The role to provide guidance and support to nursing team, aiming to promote the recovery and evidenced based rehabilitation care of the patients. To deputise for the hospital manager in their absence, providing effective leadership to the MDT.Responsibilities1 Ensure all patients’ care is assessed, planned, prioritised and of a high quality to meet their social, behavioural and mental health needs.2 Have responsibility for ensuring own and other nurses’ care is person-centred and evidence-based in accordance with NMC Guidelines.3 Creation of a safe environment.4 Ensure all Patients have opportunities of social inclusion, access to the Community, and undertaking meaningful activity/interest.5 Ensure practice in accordance with;- Health & Safety and Fire Procedures,- Equal Opportunities Statement,- Grievance & Disciplinary Procedure,- Private and voluntary healthcare regulations 2001,- Care Programme approach (CPA),- The Hospital’s statement of purpose,- NMC Code of Practice6 Promotion of a positive, safe and rewarding culture and environment and promotion of professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.7 A lead in the delegation of duties, to ensure that each member of staff has a clear understanding of tasks/duties and commitment.8 Responsibility for overseeing the administrative tasks eg: written communications, report writing, personal files, care plans, keyworker folders.9 Responsibility for ensuring the correct administration, control, storage and recording of medication.10 Ensuring the revision of Care Plans and Risk Assessments are undertaken in accordance with company guidelines.11 Work within guidelines of the statement of purpose of the Hospital.12 Work effectively within a Multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent and collaborative needs-based care.13 Maintain effective appropriate channels of communication throughout the staff infra-structure, eg. Attending and participating in staff meetings, feeding back information.14 You will work closely with the Hospital Manager to ensure the safe day to day running of the Hospital, and the wellbeing of Staff and Patients.15 To undertake and complete tasks and projects as requested by the Hospital Manager.16 Responsible for ensuring that the personal care and hygiene needs delivered are in accordance with individual care plans.17 To support the empowerment of the patients, having regards for their dignity, rights and advice, whilst maintaining professional responsibility for individuals in the Hospital’s care.CareTech Community Services Ltd is a provider of specialist social care services supporting 5000 adults with a wide range of needs in more than 300 services across the UK.
