As part of our continued expansion and significant growth, we are searching for an enthusiastic, talented, and motivated individual to join our team as a Website Developer/Designer.This exciting role will require to you to be involved in various projects covering the entirety of the development lifecycle, from initial specification moving through to completion/handover, to support and maintenance. The role requires you to be a valued and important member of our team, working on a variety of different projects at one time.As part of the role, you will be expected to work with the rest of team to meet project deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering websites to a high standard and the ability to work under pressure, especially during busy periods. We are looking for someone that is self-motivated and can produce outstanding results.As a new team member, you would be joining a relatively small close-knit team who work hard to deliver results. Your job will be extremely rewarding if creating fantastic websites is your passion.We are looking for an experienced web developer/designer to join our team immediately on an initial 6 Month employment contract, leading to permanent contract to work on client projects.You will be managing the Website and SEO side of the business.Essential Skills:- Knowledge and experience of Wordpress, HTML, CSS and Javascript.- Have an outstanding portfolio of website design that demonstrates their skills, ideally showing strong web design skills- Experience in responsive website design for mobile and tablet.- Experience in producing page mock-ups (flat and html) to be used in technical specifications.- Using google analytics to report on the performance of the website and additional landing pages- Ability to fix bugs and test cross browser compatibility and testing- An enthusiasm to constantly create new and fresh concept, staying alert of future trends in web design.- Knowledge of best SEO practices & applying them to your development.- Ability to build rapport and network with potential clients, to secure new business- Experience in following the project from start to finish, an ability to be able to understand and interpret the client’s business needs and develop a concept that meets the brief based on data and information from research.- To use innovation to challenge a brief within the constraints of cost and time.- A proven track record of managing the development of multiple builds simultaneously- Communicate effectively and professionally internally with Digital, PR, and Account Management teams.- Knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver etc)Desirable Skills:- Experience with UX/UI or ideally some front-end development skills- Experience of designing websites using Elementor page builder.- Knowledge of the importance of web usability, accessibility & Standards- Have the ability to manage our web hosting and maintaining cPanel accounts.- Some knowledge, or ability to learn flash, WooCommerce, Jquery and actionscript.- An Understanding of SEMrush, Moz or similar, report on and fix any technical issues with the website.- Experience in creating HTML email templates and static competition pages- Experience in managing internal and external resources- Knowledge of PPC and Analytics- Experience and Knowledge of Social Media & MarketingPersonal Qualities:- An eye for detail- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral- Excellent time management skills with abilities to prioritise workload, in order to meet established deadlines- To be self-motivated, proactive and to work independently.- Preferably be able to drive and have means to a car.Benefits:- Laid back office environment- Flexible Working Hours (around core hours)- A mix of office and home-based working- Bonus scheme- Company Pension (after completion of probation period)- Career Progression and training opportunities- Company eventsApplication deadline: 08/11/2020Job Types: Full-time, Contract, PermanentSalary: £18,000.00-£28,000.00 per yearCOVID-19 considerations:To ensure the safety of all our staff we have introduced strict COVID-19 measures.
